ABOUT THE MAC​

The MAC  is a 21 acre state-of-the-art sports & entertainment venue conveniently located along I-540, in Brier Creek, just north of RDU.  

​

The MAC is a highly versatile, outdoor recreational flex-space, featuring (4) full-sized, lighted, natural grass 11v11 soccer/rugby fields that can be divided into (6) lacrosse/ultimate fields, (16) kickball/5v5 flag football fields,  (12) 7v7 soccer/16” Softball/7v7 flag football fields, (24) or (32) youth-sized sports fields, or any combination of the above, plus a half soccer field, suitable for youth practices & games (phase 2).

 

The MAC has a lighted sand court area, used primarily as (5) beach volleyball courts, but also used for sand soccer, sand football, sand ultimate, dodgeball, bocce, and cornhole. The facility also features a 4,000 Sq. Ft. clubhouse/ concessions building (phase 2) with adjacent, elevated, observation & picnic area.

The MAC is a privately owned facility. Facility use by reservation only. No Trespassing.

OUR STORY

​

I got the idea for The MAC about 10 years ago when I noticed that the Triangle's population was exploding and, even at that time, there was a severe athletic field shortage. 10 years later, the area's population has grown 50% larger, almost no new playing fields have been built, and it's now a crisis. It's so dire that, as of 2018, The City of Raleigh still does not have even 1 full sized or 1 lit soccer field in its inventory. This has caused some sports leagues to move out of town and others to end operations altogether because they can't find fields to play on. So I decided to do something about it.

 

I've taken everything I have and put it into the building of this fantastic sports park. No grants, no taxpayer dollars, no investors, and no family & friends money was used to build The MAC; just me, with the love and support of my incredible wife & our 4 young children (ages 8, 5, 3 & 1) who believe in this dream enough to allow me to risk everything our family has in order to bring the Triangle something it so desperately needs: 4 lit soccer fields and 5 more lit volleyball courts.

 

We so appreciate the community embracing The MAC as they have and although, admittedly, it's not as nice as some other sports facilities (yet), every single day we make at least one improvement, with some being more noticeable than others. My goal is to continue to put everything we have into this facility, to continue to improve The MAC every day, and to be the very best sports facility in the Triangle. And I can promise that no other facility cares as much about the experience of the players and fans that visit as we do. We thank you all for your patience and understanding through the delayed construction process and please pardon our dust as we plan to be continually working to make improvements to enhance your customer experience.
